With Eminem trending this morning because of his new anti-Trump video, let’s not forget that Donald Trump and the rapper from Detroit once collaborated on an election year stunt in 2004. From Esquire:

In 2004, alongside that year’s presidential election, MTV put on a special “convention” centered around the man of the moment, Eminem. The Shady National Convention was basically a glorified Eminem concert and satellite radio ad with a few sketches peppered in. It featured cabinet members 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, campaign manager Ludacris, and an endorsement from “unofficial NYC mayor” P. Diddy. Yes, this was real, and it was the most 2004 moment you can imagine.
